Cassi was born in Visalia, CA on October 18, 1999 to her loving mother Jennifer Sanchez and Jerrod Tejeda. She was known by many nicknames but a few she would answer to were Cass, Sassy, Sis, and “Mother of All Saints” (her cousins and uncles special name for her).
As a child, she attended Pinkham Elementary and Sundale Union Elementary. Her high school years were spent at Redwood High School, graduating with the class of 2017. She continued her education at Chico State University and was to receive her Bachelor of Arts in History this May. Cassi played soccer for 15 years, ran Cross Country and was a Hurdler for the Redwood Rangers Track Team. She had just recently took up golf as well. She loved gardening and was very proud of making her Papa’s grass grow. She loved having the greenest lawn in the neighborhood. Cassi loved DIY projects and was very talented in that aspect, doing projects with her mom and sisters. She was a connoisseur of food. She loved tacos the most and anything made Louisiana style. She was a big fan of Dua Lipa and really, all genre’s of music.
Cassi was a breath of fresh air when she walked into any room. She was very confident in herself and made everyone feel comfortable around her. Cassi was witty, hilarious and loved to laugh. Her energy and smile was so contagious and she had an enlightening aura that followed her everywhere she went. Cassi was very uplifting, always so positive and had the greatest love for her family. Cassi left this earth with her girlfriend Courtney Kendall to embark on their new adventure in Heaven. Courtney was the sparkle in Cassi's life and no matter the distance between them they always found their way back to each other. Their love was so strong, that God knew he had to take them both.
Cassi is survived by her loving mother, Jennifer Sanchez and her finance Josh Justice, and father, Jerrod Tejeda. She is also survived by her sisters, Chelsea and Madison Sandoval; Grandparents, Paul Sanchez, Raquel Castano, Terry Patel and Joe Tejeda; Aunts/Uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
Cassi will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
