Enjoyed watching the video very much, even one of my parents!  Corene was my mothers best friend for many years, wish we had all stayed in touch , very sorry to hear, I remember well as a young girl how kind and sweet she was, and her pretty, calm face. Dear Laural Rae, Billie, Wanda, and all of her loved ones. 
This, indeed, is a sad time, but let's remember the good times.
When I first met Jean, she and Corene were inseparable.Two beautiful young girls, so full of life, seemingly without a care in the world.
Later, Corene was Jean's Maid of Honor, and Floyd was my best man. 
Then, after Floyd's tragic loss, Corene came home with a sweet, beautiful little girl, Laural Rae. So like her Mother. For a long time, they were like part of our family.
But, 'Time Marches On'- we moved away and contacts became short and infrequent.
I loved Corene like a sister, always the steady, dependable,and responsible one, raising her children and a successful career at the same time. I'm happy she finally found some happiness with Bob. He was good to her and a good man.
I can't be with you tomorrow, but you will be in my thoughts and heart.

To Corene's four children,
I am so sorry to learn of her passing. She was a lovely, sweet lady with a warm smile. I remember how calm and nurturing she was to all of the children; to Laurie & me and the three younger kids, Teresa, Carey & David. My dad remembers Corene as "steady", which is a good descriptor. No doubt that is one of many qualities that appealed to my mother, Jean Bryant. High school friends, they must have been bookends, my mother's exuberance tempered by Corene's serenity. When mom's grandfather, Henry Bryant, passed away, my mother escaped her grandmother by moving in with the Bruce family. They welcomed her. After Corene lost Floyd and became a young widow, she joined us in Fort Benning, Georgia. My dad was on active duty that year with the Army. I have precious photos of these two lovely, young women with their baby girls. In an odd twist of fate, I was born exactly one year after Laurie on November 17th. I talked to Corene a few years ago to tell her about mom's condition. Mother suffered from Alzheimer's Disease for five years and passed away eight years ago. Corene wanted to remember mom the way that she'd been when they were young. She said that her friend Jean Bryant  was, "prettier than Kim Novak". 
I have a hunch that they, the two beautiful girls from high school, are enjoying themselves somewhere lovely right now.

To our sister's four children.  Billie and Wanda want to thank all of you for the wonderful care and love you gave our baby sister Corene.  Billie and Corene were the babies  of the family and were extremely close all their lives.  I still find it hard to go on without Corene (Billie).  I am unable to express how much I loved my little sister, but she knows.  Wanda and I will see her again someday.

To Corene's family:  I am so sorry to hear of her passing.  She was a beautiful lady.  I used to work with her at the U D Department of Agriculture.  I started there in 1982 and had the privilidge of working with her for 6 years as well as visiting her home many times.  She was my mentor and tought me so much.  I went on to become the County Executive Director in Bakersfield and I owe a lot that I learned from her to my success.  My prayers are with you.

Carey and Dave AND Families, We are SO very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. While we never knew or met your sisters, Our condolences go out to them as well. Your Mom was a WONDERFUL woman and lived her life to it's fullest. We pray that God WILL give you the strength to get through THIS....THE MOST hardest of times. May God bestow His Blessings on you all.
