This world was blessed with the arrival of David Andrew Crouse on December 26, 1944, in Visalia, CA. He was born to David and Evelyn Crouse. He ascended to Heaven to greet his heavenly father on August 27, 2013.
Growing up in the Taurusa area, Andy attended Elementary school and was involved in 4-H. He graduated from Redwood High School in 1962. He excelled in FFA and farm related projects; orchestra and band. During his senior year, Andy achieved the honor of FFA State Farmer, as did his father before him. He also played football and ran track. He went on to graduate from College of Sequoias. While attending COS, he started driving school bus for Visalia Unified School District, where he met Ginger Shaw, the love of his life. They were married in 1965. They had a blessed, happy life with 4 beautiful children and 6 grandchildren. He always introduced or referred to his wife as his “bride”. Andy engaged in farming and the trucking industry his entire life.
During Andy’s childhood and young adulthood, the Ivanhoe Presbyterian Church played a large role in his life. He served as a deacon and sang in the choir. In his adult years, he joined Ivanhoe Church of the Nazarene, serving as adult Sunday school teacher, pianist and board member. He so loved his church family.
Our family will be eternally grateful for the gentle, loving care from the wonderful nursing staff at Kaweah Manor Convalescent Hospital. They are truly angels.
