

Emma was born in Hope, Arkansas on February 15, 1917 to loving parents, Benjamin and Molly Williams. As a young woman, she moved to California in 1944, settling in Visalia. Emma retired in 1973 after 35 years of loyal domestic service to numerous prominent families in Visalia. She was a faithful member of the Second Baptist Church of Visalia for many years where she served as an usher and the Women’s Missionary. She loved to cook, bake and make fruit jellies for her family. She also made the best sweet tea. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, six sisters and two grandchildren, Richard Love and Carolyn Williams. Emma was the best mother that two daughters could have and is remembered as the greatest grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Emma is survived by two loving daughters, Carlee Love of Folsom, CA and Tressie Williams of Visalia; numerous loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 from 9 a.m to 10:30 a.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. at the Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia, CA.
