Eric Edward Abbott, a greatly loved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on June 8, 2025 at the age of 42. Born on April 7th, 1983, in Hanford, California, to Rick and Dian Abbott, Eric’s kind and caring spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
A graduate of Hanford High School’s Class of 2001, Eric found his calling in the world of mechanics and welding. His career as a skilled mechanic and welder took him to Cemex in Fresno, California, where his strong work ethic and dedication shone brightly. Eric’s love for anything with wheels–especially cars–was a defining part of his life. Whether tinkering at his shop or tackling a new project, he poured his heart into creating and repairing, always with his dog by his side.
Eric’s leisure time was filled with the hum of engines and the laughter of friends and family. His shop was a gathering place where he shared his expertise, stories, and enthusiasm. Known for his positivity, loyalty, humor, and generous spirit, Eric had a gift for creating warm and lasting friendships. His love for his family was boundless, and he cherished his role as an uncle, delighting in the time spent with his nephew Callum, and niece, Lyla. As a son, he brought warmth and joy to his parents’ hearts.
Eric is survived by his devoted parents, Rick and Dian; his brother Tim; his sister Ami (Drew); and his nephew and niece Callum and Lyla. He also leaves behind a wide circle of countless friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Eric’s legacy of hard work, love, and joy will live on in the projects he built, the lives he touched, and the memories he created. He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
