Fred Ray Mitchell was born October 13, 1939, in Riverside, California to loving parents, Free Lee Mitchell and Opal Aileen Mitchell. He was raised in Long Beach, California. Fred was called to his permanet home in Heaven on Sunday, February 23, 2014.
Fred was a veteran, having served in the United States Air Force. Upon his honorale discharge, he worked for North American Aerospace for several years. Fred and his family moved to Visalia in 1970. He worked in Visalia as a journeyman electrician, and also spent seven years as a Tulare County Deputy Sheriff. Fred also worked for ten years at Home Base of Visalia.
He is survied by his wife of 44 years, Linda of Visalia; his daughters and their spouses, Terylin and Mark Sizemore of Visalia, CA, Cindy HIllman of Visalia, Shannon and Mitchell Robison of Bakersfield, CA, and Leigh Chavarria of Visalia, as well as eight grandchlidren and one great grandchild.
He will be greatly missed by his family and all that knew and loved him.
At Fred's request, there will be no services held.
