

Glenn A. (Gus) Weldon peacefully passed away with his family by his side on December 23, 2015. He was born October 8, 1915 in Hammonton, California, where he spent his childhood. After high school he attended Yuba City Jr. College. He worked for Yuba Consolidated Gold Fields as a carpenter until he was drafted into the Army in July 1943. After an honorable discharge in 1944 he went to work for the California Highway Patrol in Visalia where he spent his 28 year career. Upon retirement from the CHP, he went back to his roots as a self-employed carpenter until he retired again at 80 years of age! Family & friends will always remember the wonderful times at their Shaver Lake cabin.
Gus belonged to the California Association of retired CHP officers, Visalia Masonic Lodge #218, Fresno Scottish Rite, Tehran Shriners International, and the Lucerne Lake Chapter #13 order of Eastern Star. He held many offices in those organizations.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Bonnie K. Weldon, in July 2010. He is survived by his son Tom Weldon (Linda), daughter June Ford (Brian), grandchildren Julie, Jill, & Allison & three great grandchildren, Ethan, Morgan & Dylan.

Services will be held on January 8, 11:00 am, at the Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Ave, Visalia, CA.
