

Helen was born in Globe, Arizona on May 14, 1920 to Samoa and Olive Williams. She was raised and educated in Globe. She met and married Frank M. Gunn in Globe, Arizona on September 10, 1938 and they moved to Visalia in 1943 to make their home and raise their family. Frank and Helen were ranchers for many years, raising cotton and walnuts. Helen volunteered her services for 4-H in the Elbow Creek area and was a lifetime member with Women of the Moose. Helen enjoyed cooking, sewing, canning and caring for her family. She especially enjoyed all the special times with her family.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Frank on July 18, 2002; her two daughters, Modena Valle on March 8, 2005 and Linda F Kamp on May 7, 2011; her sister Geneva Mounce and her brothers Burt Williams and Loris Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Alva Gunn-McDaniels and her husband, James; sons-in-law, Frank Valle and Nick Kamp, both of Visalia; her brothers Dan Williams and wife Linda of Lubbock, TX and Leo Williams of Fresno, CA; her sister, Hazel Plummer of Mesa, AZ; seven grandchildren Edward Ybarra, Kim Ybarra, Kevin Ybarra, Kirsten Warren and husband Bryan, Nick Kamp and wife Chrys, Frank Kamp and wife April, and Brandon Kamp and wife, Michelle; 10 great grandchildren, Alyssa, Colton, Brock, Jacob, Sarah, Justin, Carey, Travis, Dillon and Noah; four great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia, CA. Private funeral services will be held.
