Jane Jacobi

Jane was born in Oosterend, Holland on August 24, 1922 to Sake and Boukje Strikwerda. In 1944, Jane married Andy Jacobi in Oosterend, Holland. They emigrated with their young family to the United States in 1951, settling in Alabama and then moved to Lodi, California in 1955. Jane was a vital partner to her husband Andy, ensuring their successes in the diary business by working beside him and supporting his drive to grow the business. This drive and growth took them to many places in California. They eventually settled in Visalia. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Her life centered around her family and close friends. Jane enjoyed knitting, playing cards, entertaining and was an avid reader. She was a longtime member of Trinity United Reformed Church of Visalia and was involved in many of the activities at church.

Jane was preceded in death by her brother Sijmom Strikwerda and her sister, Tine Knossen and her loving husband, Andy on October 31, 2007.

She is survived by two sons, Siebren Jacobi and wife Karen of Washougal, WA and Charles Jacobi and wife Annie of Pagosa Springs, CO; brother-in-law John Jacobi and wife Corrie of Visalia; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and extended family in Holland.

A Celebration of Life Service for close friends and family will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 followed on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 with graveside services at the North Tulare Cemetery.
