Caring, compassionate, kindhearted, and life of the party; our loving husband, father, and friend Jimmy (Jim) Dale Peel (72) was taken from us and gathered into the arms of his Savior on December 27, 2020. Although we struggle with the reality of his departure, we know that God is sovereign. He numbers our days and He is good.
Jim is now reunited with his mother, father and siblings. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Springstead Peel, his daughters Desiree Peel Gumbiner (Robert), Michelle Peel Underwood (Bob), Danielle Peel Pierce, Deena Peel Patch (Guy); his step children, Ellie Roest Zuiderveld (Dave), Case Roest, Tom Roest (Lisa), Rennes Weimer (Amanda), Shannon Weimer Johnson (Chris); 19 grandchildren, Matthew, Nathan, Meredith, Briana, Ford, Gabrielle, Victoria, Kaitlin, Brooke, Brennen, Gracie, Andrew, Nolan, Luke, Ashley, Casey, Aizlyn, Trinton, and Hayden and 1 great grandchild, Wyatt Anthony.
Jim was born on July 30, 1948 in Oildale, CA. He attended Fresno High School. In 1977 he moved his family to Texas in order to raise his girls on a small farm. He returned to California in 1987 after his triplet daughters high-school graduation. He worked in the oilfields doing roustabout work and owned his own company as a welder and a backhoe operator putting in many long hours to ensure that his family was well provided for. Later in life he ran two adult care facilities for developmentally disabled men who also looked to him as a father figure.
Jim had a deep love for family, fishing, golfing, playing cards and his baby girl Kayla (their little Maltese dog). He also learned to love traveling. He and Cindy were able to visit many places in the last few years of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife, 9 children, 19 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He’ll be missed by many.
