Jose "Chepé" Jesus Arias Reyes

Jose was born in Tepatitlan, Jalisco, Mexico on December 19, 1980 to Pascual Arias, Sr. and Juana Reyes Arias. The family moved to Tulare County in 1981 living in the farming community of Redbanks and settling in Ivanhoe. Jose truly enjoyed the Adult Day Program where he worked in the Herb Garden. He was an avid Oakland Raider fan and also enjoyed watching soccer. Jose was cheerful and caring to others. He especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews and family. Jose will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his brother Juan Manuel Arias in 1973.

Jose leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Pascual and Juana of Ivanhoe; his brothers, Gustavo, Ernesto, Pascual, and Ricardo, all of Ivanhoe and his sister Christina of Visalia; 8 nieces and nephews, Emily & Cristian, Miah & David, Maria and Juan and Leonardo & Esmeralda; his grandmother, Maria Mora of Chihuahua, Mexico and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 2 – 6 pm with Rosary beginning at 6 p.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Visalia on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Visalia Public Cemetery.
