

Juana “Juanita” De Valdez passed away on January 28, 2012 in Visalia, CA. Juanita was a devoted mother of 2 and faithful servant to Jehovah until the end. She was born on January 27, 1967 in Huetamo, Michoacan, Mexico to Maria Raquel Sanchez and Rufino Baltazar. She attended school at Nicolas Bravo until the 6th grade. At age 13, she left her home to work, to help support her family of 10. At age 18 she returned to her home and met her husband and married at age 19 on September 19, 1986. On February 27, 1988 her first child, Sara, was born in Mexico. In 1989 she migrated to the United Stated and moved to Azusa, Los Angeles, CA. Her second child, Rodrigo, was born on February 1, 1991. She worked at Monrovia Nursery, along with her husband, in Azusa and was later given the opportunity to transfer to Visalia, CA to work at the new Monrovia Nursery in Woodlake, CA. It was in Visalia that she acquired her faith and became a faithful servant to Jehovah. Her goal was to one day work at the hospital. Despite not knowing English, she applied at Kaweah Delta Hospital and called every day until she got a job as a Laundry worker; she worked at Kaweah Delta Hospital for 8 years until her health no longer permitted her to do so. She was devoted to her faith, her grandchildren Fernando (Sara’s son), and Noah and Josiah (Rodrigo’s son’s), and her beloved dogs. She is survived by her daughter Sara Saldivar and husband Fernando and son Rodrigo Valdez; grandchildren- Fernando Jose Saldivar, Marcus Noah Valdez, and Josiah Jayden Valdez; parents- Maria Raquel Sanchez and Rufino Baltazar; brother’s- Ignacio, Javier, Jorge, Rufino, Pablo, and half bother Rufino Baltazar; sisters- Paula, Maribel, and Theodora Baltazar, and survived by all her spiritual brothers and sisters in the congregation of Jehovah’s Witness.
