Julie Salerno Leal passed peacefully in Visalia, CA, on Aug. 23, 2021, after a short battle with COVID. She was 61. She is survived by her son Jonah Salerno (Crystal), her spouse Narciso Leal, her brothers Jeff Hall (Lisa) and Gregg Hall (Kate), her nephew Gared Hassel, her niece Sophie, her aunts Anita Martinez Rodelo (John) and Deanna Martinez (Jeff), and numerous cousins. Julie also left behind her beloved dog, Blackjack, who was her constant companion. Julie was predeceased by her mother Elizabeth Hall and stepfather Ernie Hall.
Julie was known for her “green thumb” and enjoyed gardening until her physical disabilities kept her from her plants. Julie’s life path took her down some adverse roads, but in her final years she rose above and overcame the choices that had caused her so much anguish. She cherished her family, particularly her son Jonah and her mom. She had an endearing sense of humor and laughed even when the joke may have been on her. She had a kind heart and was quick to acknowledge and thank others for their kindness. Julie will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family.
