Lois Elane Severns

Lois Severns born to Elmer and Pauline Severns on August 28, 1938 in Soledad, California. She passed on May 24, 2021 in Fresno, California. Lois grew up in a large family where she cared for many of her younger brothers and sisters. Lois started her career at the Bowling Alley in Porterville, California. She went on to work at the Paul Bunyan in Porterville and later relocated to Visalia and worked at the Holiday Inn. Lois enjoyed her time talking with people and had a servant’s heart in serving her many loyal customers. Lois family life was rich and hosted the majority of the family events in her home, many holiday’s you could drive down Giddings and not be able to find a parking place on the street because the family was celebrating together. Lois always a had a pot of coffee going or a pitcher of tea. Many of her nieces and nephews will remember her for her cinnamon rolls or peanut butter cookies. Lois will be truly missed!

Lois is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Pauline Severns; her brothers, Charles, Burl, Coy, Marvin, and Ray Severns; her sisters, Zona Chambers, Ruth Davis, Geneva Phillips, and Carla Clark; brothers’ in law Grant Davis, Orville Chambers, and Jerry Phillips and sister in law Betty Severns.

She is survived by her brothers, Kenneth and wife Linda, Don, Paul and Roy Severns; her sisters, Carol Kline and Vickie Norris and husband Kenneth Norris; and her brother in law, Mike Clark. Lois is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday June 6, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel 1120 W. Goshen Ave. Visalia, California 93291. A Graveside service will be at Visalia Public Cemetery District 1300 W. Goshen Ave. Visalia, California 93291 on Monday June 7, 2021 at 12:00 p.m.
