

Lorenzo “Lencho” was born on October 5, 1932, in Aguanuato, Michoacan, Mexico. He grew up in Mexico and spent his teen years in Visalia, attending Visalia High School. During his youth, he enjoyed boxing and organized several corner street boxing matches, which were enjoyed by friends and family. Lencho moved to Sylmar, CA where he started working for General Motors and later owned his business, Dean’s Hitch and Welding, for over 20 years. He was very proud of his work, which he would gladly show to his visitors and customers.
Lencho is preceded in death by his father and mother; Angel and Benita Diaz, and is survived by his sisters Aurora Jaime (Bernardo), from Dinuba; Celia Jaime (Robert), from Miliptas; Victoria Maldonado (Guadalupe, deceased), from Fresno, and Hortenica Duran (Robert) from Visalia, and by his brothers, Tony Diaz, and Joe Diaz (Juanita), both from Visalia; Ruben Diaz (Rosemary), from Clovis and Raul Diaz (Ana Maria), from Madera.
Visitation will be held at Miller’s Memorial Chapel in Visalia, CA on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Visalia, on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Visalia Cemetery on Goshen Ave. Condolences may be offered at www.millerchapel.com
