Maria Guadalupe DaRosa

Maria was born in Coahuila, Mexico on November 15, 1932 to Francisco and Otilia Castaneda, one of twelve children born to this union. She married Manuel DaRosa in Laredo, Texas and they moved to Chico, California to make their home. In 1987, they moved to Tulare, California to make their home. Manuel preceded her in death in 2005. Maria attended St. Rita’s Catholic Church of Tulare for many years. Maria was preceded in death by all of her siblings, with the exception of two brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three brothers, Victor Castaneda, Mario Castaneda and Eugenio Castaneda, both of Mexico and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2012 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Ave in Visalia, CA. Praying of Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rita’s Catholic Church of Tulare on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at North Tulare Cemetery.
