Marianna C. Johnson

Marianna C. Johnson went to her final resting place on January 23, 2016 in Visalia, California. She was born in Monroe, LA on February 24, 1925. She attended Monroe High School where she met her first husband, Marvin M. Aulds. They were married in 1942 and had a daughter. In 1946, she and her daughter moved to Visalia, California where her mother was then residing. In 1949, she met and married Laurence Johnson. They were married 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Crotwell; step-father, Luke Bianco; mother, Maybelle Bianco; brothers, Billy and James Crotwell; sister, Louise Erskine; husband, Laurence Johnson and step-daughter, Pallie Johnson.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Fox and son-in-law, Ted Fox Jr.; grandchildren, Terry Fox, Patty Fox and Patty's spouse, Robin Fox; great-granddaughter, Cortney Michiner and husband Jason Michiner; great-granddaughters, Jordyn and Jenna Gilpin; three great-great granddaughters, Taylor, Kaylee and Ashton Michiner; and niece, Diane Tamplin.

She was active in Sierra Baptist Church. Her faith in God was strong and she never missed an opportunity to share His word. Her Bible was greatly used and tattered.

Graveside services will be on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia, California.
