

Marvin went to meet the Lord on Friday, January 26, 2018 in Visalia, CA. He was born on August 20, 1934 in Cordell, Ok to J.J. and Emma Penner. Marvin grew up in Reedley and attended Immanuel High School. Marvin married his sweetheart Lola (Barkman) Penner in 1954 and they later moved to Hanford where Marvin continued his life as a farmer, loving husband and father of Marla Ehoff and Lori Penner. Marvin was a compassionate and loving soul who was dedicated to following the footprints of Jesus Christ. He gave of his time freely and without expectation and would help anyone in need. Marvin expressed his love for Jesus through his actions and people were drawn to his unconditional and loving spirit.
A dedicated supporter of the Mennonite Central Committee, Marvin was always happy to step up and offer his legendary barbecue skills at the MCC sales. For years he was active in the Mennonite Brethren Church, Mennonite Men's Chorus, Hartland Christian Camps and several other organizations that were on a mission to share the love of the Lord. Marvin was a prince of a husband an extraordinary father. Marvin was a perfect gentleman. He will always be remembered for his kind and generous spirit and for the simple and essential lessons he taught us about life, love and Jesus.
Marvin was preceded in dead by his parents J.J. and Emma Penner of Oklahoma and his sister, Viola.
His memory will be cherished by his wife of 63 years Lola Penner; his daughters, Marla Ehoff and Lori Penner; his grandchildren, Blake Ehoff, Tasha (Danny) Jamison; his three great grandchildren, Jack, Charlie and Nora and extended family.
Celebration of Marvin’s Life Services will be held at Palm Village 703 W. Herbert Ave., Reedley, CA, on Saturday, March 10th, at 2:00 PM friends and family are cordially invited.
