

Mikey was born in Visalia on March 14th 1994. He was the first born son of Rebecca Munoz. Growing up, Mikey was known for his happy and joyful personality, always welcoming everyone with a hug and kiss on their cheek, and his personalized notes. He is also known for the abundance of love he had for his family, he never wanted to see anyone cry, or hurt. Mikey was always there to lend a shoulder to cry on, give you a hug or try to make you feel better. He was the ray of sunshine our family needed in the darkest of storms always.
Mikey was passionate about music, movies, sports and was known for remembering Disney characters and movie scenes. If Mikey knew you, he would write you a note saying to get him a specific food or drink or to take him somewhere, the next time he saw you he’d remind you. Throughout his life, Mikey touched the hearts of many people from family, friends, teachers & peers at school/work. He participated in Miracle League baseball while in school, Mikey moved on to graduate Woodlake high school and attend Herbs & More Day Program, where he made many more lasting friendships.
Mikey is survived by his mother, Rebecca Garza, Step-father, Wally Garza, his siblings, Levina, Isaiah and Jasmine Mesa, and other close family members including his nieces/nephews, Carmelo Mesa, Breya, Zadrina and Cruz Ontiveros. He was preceded in death by his favorite grandpa, Robert Munoz, and his grandma, Shiela Mesa
A service to celebrate Mikeys life will be held on March 14th at 4:00PM at Miller Memorial Chapel. the following day service all are welcomed to attend “a birthday celebration” at the Cutler park at 1:00PM. ALL Family and friends are invited to join in remembering his life, as that’s the way Mikey would want it.
Mikey will be remembered for his happy, and cheerful personality as well as his love that he spread to everyone wherever he went with his open arms always ready for a hug, his personalized notes he’d give to everyone, his love for Disney, and most importantly his family. He touched the lives of everyone he encountered with his warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit. Mikey will continue to live on through each and every one of his family members.
