Naomi H. Whitted-Hicks

Naomi was born in Ventura, California on September 23, 1924 to William Lones Jump and Martha Cathrine Krieter Jump. She attended schools in Ojai and Ventura. Naomi married Lyall Whitted on April 25, 1943 in Ventura and moved to Camarillo, California in 1948. She was very involved with the PTA while her children were in school. They moved to Tulare, California in 1972. She worked for over twenty years as the bookkeeper for Tulare Nut Company until 1985. Lyall preceded her in death that same year. She married Paul Hicks in 1988 in Visalia, California. Naomi was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tulare. She enjoyed bowling, playing golf and RV traveling. Her family was her greatest enjoyment.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother.

Naomi is survived by three children, Janet Suzzette Wolfrey and husband, James, William Howard Whittted and John Allen Whitted and wife, Debbie; five grandchildren, James Wolfrey, Jeffrey Wolfrey and wife, Mary and Jeanna Suzane Backer and husband, Rich, Michael John Whitted and wife, Amanda and Cathrine Leann Whitted; great grandchildren, Lacie, Naomi, Jacob, Nicholas, Johnathan, Zackary, Benjamin, Daniel, Olivia Mollee and Boone and two great great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at Tulare Cemetery, 900 E. Kern Street in Tulare, CA.
