

Patsy Correa was born in Fresno, CA on September 4, 1944 to John & Thelma Landers. She passed away on August 14, 2010 at her home, with her loving family at her side. Cancer took her at the young age of 65.
After high school she went on to receive her Associate Degree from Golden State Business College. For more than 30 years, she dedicated herself to in-home health care; early-on as a care provider to the ill and elderly, then eventually as a council member and Union Representative to other in-home care providers. She fought for the rights of those providing in-home health care as well as those receiving it.
She married Manuel Norman Correa, Sr., on September 5, 1965. Together, they raised five biological children as well as numerous foster children. Survivors include her husband, Manuel Correa, Sr., of Visalia; sons, Manuel N. Correa, Jr. & fiancé, Lina Crawford of Visalia, Shaun & Jocelyn Correa of Visalia, Patrick & Emily Correa of Visalia. Daughters, Dana and Eric Kyle of Porterville and Rhonda & Nathan Graham of Grover Beach, CA. She is also survived by sisters, Juanita Hansen of Goshen and Leona Shepard of Sparks, Nevada; 18 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 Godchildren.
Visitation is being held at Miller Memorial Chapel on Thursday, August 19th, 2-7 p.m.
Services will be on Friday, August 20, 2010 at Gateway Church of Visalia at 11:30 a.m. with graveside following at Visalia District Cemetery.
