Jim and Beth...our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  Paul was a wonderful man, a close and loyal friend and gifted worker with my Dad (Maynard).  His smile was genuine, kind, and inviting which was matched with his words of encouragement.  For me, he was like a second father, a wise and helpful mentor.  He and Jean were a loving couple who meant so much to our family.  In this day and age, it is rare for someone to choose to "make things right".  I remember a story Paul told me -- during the day he made an error in designing a sheet metal product for my dad...that night, the whole night, he spent correcting it and it was ready in the morning.  What dedication and loyalty, professional workmanship.  It speaks to a man of character and integrity...which today is a road less travelled.  I / we benefited greatly from His presence...I am convinced that both Jean and Paul were a few of the angels here on earth that God dispatched to help and guide us through this thing called life. Jim and Beth....We're so sorry to hear about your loss of Paul.  He was a very special man and I'm so glad we got to meet him and have him visit us in Kansas. So sorry to learn of your dad's passing. Growing up, Jean & Paul were more like an aunt & uncle to me than next-door neighbors. (We even shared a party line for a period of time until Barney & I became teens.) To:  The Witter family members. Paul meant so much to  me (Alma). Although the miles separated us, we think of him often and tried to talk on the phone as often as possible. I especially remember  his comment that "he thought of me as a sister", and he was definitely my "adopted" brother.  We will miss him greatly and his visits to NC to see us.
