Peter Diaz Negrete passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 3rd 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was born to Salvador and Ramona Negrete in Visalia, Ca. He grew up in Visalia with his family of 14 brothers and sisters.
He graduated from Visalia Union High School in 1954. During his life he held many jobs; including working in the fields to help support his large family. Peter also retired as a warehouseman in the Plumbing industry and as a skydiving instructor.
Peter was a man of few words but a strong loving soul. He loved spending time with his family. With a heavy heart, Peter will be so deeply missed.
Peter along with his brothers: John and Salvador originated the San Joaquin Valley Sky Divers in the early 1960’s. They were avid skydivers for many years. Peter enjoyed telling numerous stories of their adventures and Sky Diving Performances. Peter’s skydiving came to an end when his parachute failed to open and sustained life threating injuries, but survived.
Peter was preceded in death by his loving wife Ferol Lee Negrete, his parents Salvador and Ramona Negrete, his siblings; Pio, Gilbert, George, Salvador and Jesse Negrete, Nicolasa Villegas, Mary Ellen Gardea and Ruth Aguirre.
Peter is survived by his loving son Clayton Negrete of Visalia CA, Daughter and son in law; Liz and Steve Grossman of Livermore CA, (8) Grandchildren and (6) Great grandchildren. His siblings, Virginia Cambra, John Negrete, Ramona Luberts, Isabel Enos, Joe Negrete and Rosalina Aguilar, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers to honor Peter, the family requests you make charitable contribution to the National Kidney Foundation.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 11:30a.m at Miller Memorial Chapel 1120 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia, CA 93291.
