Richanda Patch age 85 born in Parker, Arizona went home to be with our Lord Jesus November 30th, 2021 in Porterville, California. Richanda was a resident of Porterville for over 38 years. She and her husband (Adam) at that time had on their hearts to come and minister down in Porterville and heard, it was a great place to raise kids. Richanda was born to the late Hiriam Patch and Nellie brown in Parker Arizona . Richanda was Native American from the Colorado Indian tribes. She was from the Mohave tribe. At a young toddler, she was sent to a hospital to be treated for Tuberculosis. She remained there for many years. When she came out the years had flown by. Richanda was almost a preteen. Richanda was sent to a reform school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she was forbidden to speak her native ahamacav language. She eventually returned home and received her G.E.D.
Richanda married her first husband Gardner Vanfleet and had many beautiful children together. A total of 6 at that time. She would be busy taking the kids to sporting events always on the go. She was like a second mother to many people. She always had an open door to anyone and would share whatever she had. When her brother passed away, Richanda heard a sermon that tugged at her heart. Where she gave her heart and life to Jesus. She no longer did certain things she used to because she had a New start and began a new Journey with Jesus. Richanda loved Jesus and enjoyed singing and worshipping Jesus. He always gave her a song and she was always humming, praising him or praying to him. She clung to Jesus through every season of her life. Through the ups and down, she leaned on Him and trusted Him in the good and bad. Richanda loved worshiping God. She also loved swimming, basketball , reading and journaling songs. She used to pick songs out by ear from the piano. Later In life, she met her second husband Adam Rodriguez. They shared the same birth month and day and same love for God. They had one child together making a total of her children 7. Richanda and Adam would start a new adventure together with Jesus beginning in street ministry. Moving to Porterville helping open up a church. On the Tule reservation with dear friends the Ernie and Helen Christmas, Andrew and Katie Carrillo, Pastor Carlos and Betty Mestaz, the Robles family and many more. More ups and downs occurred but Richanda held on to her anchor Jesus. She continued to minister whenever God placed her, passing out tracts, ministering to the hospitals, in the convalescent homes and many around her. In her 70's for a short period of time, she became an ordained minister under four square church. Richanda loved God and she knew how to Love people. She loved all her family, friends and tribe. She saw the best in people. Richanda was an Overcomer! She overcame so much and gave God all the glory!!! All she wanted was for God to make her his instrument. To be used for his glory, she wanted to serve God with her life and those around her to come to live for Jesus; and so she did, she served in Love and humility always thinking of others and their needs. Richanda would stand with an urgency on her heart at every funeral. She would speak Revelation 3:20 “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”
