Our Precious aunt Rose passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 29, 2025. Rose Marie Gonzales was born on August 4, 1940 in San Fernando CA to Felix and Magdalena Barrientos. She was raised in Visalia and graduated from Redwood High school. Rose was the fifth of nine children.
Rose is survived by her siblings Armida Hernandez, Daniel Barrientos and Nina Florez. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Gonzales, her daughter Mary Ellen Gonzales, her parents Felix and Magdalena Barrientos, her siblings, the twins Betty and Velma Barrientos, Dora Cota, Norma Kelly, and Felix Barrientos, Jr.
Rose was the most giving, loving and gracious soul. She brought laughter to everyone around, making sure she fed you weather you were hungry or not.
Rose had a love for dancing and attending every dance she could. While attending a dance in Tulare she met her husband Frank, who also had a passion for dancing. They traveled everywhere at their leisure. They were avid members of the Asociacion De Charros of Mexico.
Rose was hard working woman who made lifelong friends everywhere she worked.
Rose Marie services will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel 1120 West Goshen Avenue, Visalia, CA 93291
Viewing will be held on Monday April 21, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 PM
A Funeral Service will be taking place Tuesday April 22nd at 11:00 AM at Miller Memorial Chapel followed by Graveside at Visalia Public Cemetery District 1300 West Goshen Avenue, Visalia, CA 93291.
Celebration of life will continue at Visalia Veterans Memorial Buildings at 609 W. Center Ave Visalia CA 93291 following Graveside.
