

Ruth Grace Kimball, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 17, 2025. She was born on November 23, 1948, in Visalia, California, to Grace Annabel Whitlock and Robert William Whitlock. She was the second of five beautiful girls: Esther, Ruth, Elizabeth, Leah, and Lois. She is survived by her three children: Edward, Michelle, and Jennifer, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Ruth married the love of her life, Ben Harold Kimball, and the two shared a deep and lasting partnership built on faith, laughter, and family. Ben preceded her in death on May 22, 2009. Ruth has rejoined him in the arms of Jesus - reunited forever.
A woman of steadfast Christian faith, Ruth lived her beliefs through worship and prayer. Her annual performance in The Messiah at the First Baptist Church in Visalia, was something she looked forward to. Ruth was also known for her warm heart. Her home was filled with compassion, encouragement, and always - music. Ruth had a special love for Christian hymns which, throughout her life, brought her comfort, joy, and connection to God. To those who knew her, it was not uncommon to find her humming or softly singing a hymn she held dear.
Ruth taught high school in Lindsay for 32 years. She inspired many teens to graduate, go to college, and have a career. She was determined to help young people pursue and attain their goals. When Ruth retired from teaching, she enjoyed spending time with her family and working on her hobbies. Ruth lived a life marked by faith and unwavering love for God, her family, and her community.
