Socorro and her husband settled in Visalia in 1954. They had three children John, Fernando and Victor. She loved to travel to new places and see new things. Socorro loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Socorro is preceded in death by her husband John Sr.; her son, John, Jr.; and one sister Gloria Mejia. She will be dearly remembered by her two sons, Fernando and Victor; grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 4pm-8pm with Rosary at 6pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1908 N. Court St., Visalia, on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 10am followed by Interment at Visalia Public Cemetery.
