Stan was born in Dinuba, California (originally Sibleyville) on December 19, 1939 to S.E. Sibley, Sr. and Hester Virginia Wood Sibley. The family moved to Visalia in the early 1940’s where he attended school and graduated with the Redwood High School, Class of 1957. He entered the United States Navy on June 11, 1957 and served until June of 1963. On May 1, 1964, Stan married Janey Lee Reagan in Visalia.
Stan was a thrill seeker and enjoyed skydiving and motorcycle racing. He got his private pilot license in 1972 and kept it current through 1999. Being a “kid at heart”, he built and flew ¼ scale remote control model airplanes and helicopters. He also enjoyed leather tooling and made saddles and western gear. Stan’s most recent hobby was creating Native American pottery using the same clay and applying the same techniques used 100’s of years ago. He became an “Iron Butt Member” along with his Biker Buddy’s after riding his Gold Wing and making the Saddle Sore/1000 Mile and Bun Burner/1500 Mile timed runs.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Janey of Visalia, two daughter’s Stacey and Tina, son’s-in-law Gary and Greg, grandchildren Skylar, Spencer & Alexandra, great grandchildren Kingston & Calliana and cousin’s John & Kathy.
