Violet was born in Orange, California and moved to the Orosi area where she met her first husband, Delmar Walker. They were married December 7, 1946 and had four children: Priscilla, Darrell, LaVonna, and LaDonna. Tragically, her husband and son were killed in a traffic accident in November 1961. She married her second husband, Harold Freeman and together they had one child named Nancy. Later in life, she married Robert Smith whom preceded her in death in 2009.
Violet is survived by her three daughters; Priscilla Aikin, LaVonna Morrison, and LaDonna Mabry. Also, by 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
