driving his Kia Soul. Wendell was born in Gothenburg, Nebraska. He was always reminiscing
about his childhood in Nebraska with his parents Herman and Johanna and three brothers,
Richard, Herbert, and Alfred. His parents moved to Visalia when Wendell was 17 years old
He graduated from Visalia High School in 1948. Wendell was an Army Veteran. He was
stationed at Fort Ord during the 1950’s. Wendell was very proud of his accomplishments and was very meticulous at keeping records. He was in partnership and started F & H Chemicals, Inc. which was in Tulare for years on “J” Street. Wendell developed many of his own formulas for commercial products. He traveled up and down the State servicing restaurants, hospitals and rest homes. He was a very gifted serviceman and salesman. Wendell loved to be active and volunteered to the Sequoia Visalia Kiwanis for years. He loved his church, Grace Lutheran, and he received a Servant of Christ Award for 67 years of service. At the time of Wendell’s passing he was married for 36 years, to Orvella Dierks Kennelley-Franzen. Wendell has three children Two daughters Janice Torres (Greg) and Sherry Timmons (Scott), one son Lynn Franzen (Terri). Two Step children, Clea Anderson (Robert) and Steve Kennelley (Vanessa).
Eight Grandchildren and eight Great-Grandchildren. There will be a graveside service at the Visalia Cemetery this Friday, March 22 at 10:30 am, Pastor Bob Schroeder will be officiating.
