In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donnie Ray Shumpert; her youngest son, Bryan Ray Shumpert; her sister, Annie Sarah Whitaker; and brother-in-law, Stacey Whitaker.
She is survived by her son, Dale Shumpert; daughter-in-law, Ina Shumpert; her grandchildren, Brendan Ray Shumpert and Meredith “Reed” Shumpert; and numerous nieces and nephew
She was a working mom and retired from NCR West Columbia in 1992. She was a member of Green Hill Baptist Church for more than 60 years.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 26, 2025 at Green Hill Baptist Church, 1800 Augusta Rd, West Columbia, SC 29169, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place after the service at Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170.
