WEST COLUMBIA – A graveside funeral service will be held for Betty Pearl Chavious, 81, at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2013 in Gibson Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Prior to the service the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
Mrs. Chavious was born April 3, 1932 in Lexington, SC and passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013. She was a daughter of the late John Thomas Chavis and Elizabeth Senn Chavis. Mrs. Chavious was an Avon representative for more than 30 years. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday School and was the Children’s Church Director.
Surviving are sons, Paul and Bruce Chavious; daughter, Kathy Smith; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and sister, Lessie Davis.
