WEST COLUMBIA - Betty Aimar James ascended into heaven on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. She was born on April 21, 1942 in Columbia SC, to the late Susie Dawson Aimar and Frank Aimar, Sr. She was later adopted by Myrna Addy Aimar after her mother’s passing. She was a graduate of B.C. High School in Cayce, SC. Betty loved to watch the hummingbirds outside of her window, enjoyed reading a good book, and treasured watching the foliage turn colors on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Betty was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in West Columbia, SC.
She was preceded by her husband of 45 years, Jimmy James. She is survived by her daughter, Melinda (Tony) Satterfield; two granddaughters, Melissa (Dave) Perry and Ashley (Chris) Rice, and two great-grandsons, Thanos Perry, and CJ Rice.
A graveside service will be held at Southland Memorial Gardens located at 700 W. Dunbar Road on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Betty’s memory to Generations of Batesburg at 111 Generations Blvd. Batesburg SC 29006.
