Born on April 3, 1942, to Doris Payne and Luther Hobby, Beverly was a woman who valued family above all else. She spent her life caring for those she loved, offering wisdom, support, and a steady presence that family and friends could always depend on.
Beverly dedicated 42 years of her life to her career, working at Allied Signal before retiring from Honeywell. Her commitment, loyalty, and strong work ethic were evident throughout her career and earned the respect of many colleagues and friends.
She leaves behind her loving family, including her brother, Charles Hobby, and his wife, Joyce Hobby; her partner, Martha Reynolds; her son, Mark Reynolds; and her daughter, Sandra Meetze.
Her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted grandmother to Tiffany Martinez and her husband, Adam Martinez, Owen Reynolds, and Coraline Reynolds. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Haileigh Martinez, Skylar Martinez, and Max Martinez, each of whom brought immense happiness to her life.
Beverly’s life was a testament to perseverance, devotion, and unconditional love. Whether through her years of hard work, the memories she created with family, or the countless ways she touched the lives of others, she leaves behind a lasting impact that will never be forgotten.
While her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, her family finds comfort in the memories they shared and the love she gave so freely throughout her life.
She will be deeply loved, greatly missed, and forever remembered.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – West Columbia Chapel, 820 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
