

Donna Proveaux Dyches, a devoted, generous, and loyal soul, passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on May 10, 1954, Donna was a resident of Gilbert, South Carolina. Her life was a testament to her hard-working, patient, thoughtful, and wise nature.
In her early years, Donna served in the Navy for four years, during which she was stationed in Spain and Ireland. This experience laid the foundation for her disciplined and adventurous spirit. After her military service, Donna dedicated 40 years of her life to the Post Office, where she was known for her unwavering commitment and dedication.
Donna was married to Anthony O. Dyches, who passed away in 2021. She is survived by her sister Arilla Northcutt, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, all of whom she cherished deeply. Her lifelong friend and sister, Trish Olsen, was a constant source of joy and companionship. Donna was predeceased by her mother and father, her sister Sandra Jo Proveaux, and her lifelong friend and sister, Carol Frisell.
Donna had a great love for Betty Boop, her nieces and nephews, and animals. She was always the life of the party, lighting up any room she entered. Her passion for spending time with her lifelong friends was evident in her joyful spirit and infectious laughter.
A generous supporter of her community, Donna donated to many local charities, including the ASPCA, Wounded Veterans, and First Responders. She was always there for people without judgment, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion.
The family extends special thanks to the Lexington Medical Center North Tower Staff for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ASPCA, Wounded Warriors, or First Responders, reflecting Donna's lifelong commitment to helping others.
The family is planning a memorial service at a later date.
