Funeral services for Edgar “Jeff” Watson Elkin also known as “Pop”, 69, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Chaplain Michelle Wilde will conduct the service.
Mr. Elkin was born December 15, 1941 in Batesburg-Leesville, SC and passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2011. He was a son of the late David B. Elkin and Virginia Watson. Mr. Elkin served 10 years in the National Guard. He retired from Pepsi Bottling Company after twenty-five years and loved to catfish.
Mr. Elkin is survived by his wife, Elaine Elkin; sons, Billy Elkin, Michael Elkin, David Elkin and Richard Gant; daughter, Annette Link; sisters, Virginia Elkin and Sue Troutman; thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
