Elizabeth "Liz" Burr McCullar

Columbia, SC, and went home to be with the Lord on July 27, 2021, at the age of 65.

She was the daughter of the late Norman David and Virginia Blue Burr. Liz Burr

McCullar was a graduate of Brookland Cayce High School, attended the University of

South Carolina and graduated from Limestone College.

Liz was a loving and devoted mother. She loved her boys more than anything and was

their biggest supporter. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling and engaged in

competitive league bowling for more than twenty years. She also was president of the

Cayce-West Columbia baseball league and was an active member in the midlands

branch of Quality Deer Management Association. Liz was a longstanding and active

member of Sandy Run Ruritans. Liz worked for the State of South Carolina in many

capacities until she faced breast cancer. After surviving breast cancer, Liz devoted her

time to fulfilling others through her artistic and creative talents, gifts and service. Liz

wasn’t just a great cook! She loved food and cooking for others. One of her gifts was

her ability to create anything and feed others souls with her gift and love of cooking.

Surviving Liz McCullar are her devoted husband, “Snooky” J.W.; loving sons, Nicholas

Heath (Jenna) of Easley and Cameron Chase of West Columbia; brother, Jim Burr

(Kelley) of Lugoff and brother-in-law, Sammy McCullar (Ginger) of Lexington. Liz

McCullar is also survived by her niece, Elizabeth Burr and nephews, Brad McCullar

(Dodie), Brent McCullar (Adrianna), and Hendrick McCullar.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel.
