Ella Catherine "Kathy" Livingston

She was born in Welch, West Virginia on November 26th, 1951 to William Barnes (Bill) Hall and Helen B. Hall. She spent her childhood in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia and Virginia and later moved to Taylors, SC. She graduated from Wade Hampton High School in 1970 before attending Gardner Webb College for early childhood education and received her bachelor's degree in August 1974. She married her college sweetheart Jerry Livingston on July 16th, 1972. It was her joy to teach children at several area elementary schools as well as Sunday school over the years.

Kathy (“Cappy” to her grandchildren) was Love pure and simple. Her arms were open as wide as her heart. She accepted everyone and always saw the best in others. A caregiver through and through, she went out of her way to make others feel at home and part of her family.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry K. Livingston Jr.; sister, Connie (Ben) Green; her children, Ashley (Josh) Snellings, and John (Adrianna) Livingston; and grandchildren, Amelia and Timothy Livingston.

She will continue to watch over all of those she loves from Heaven where she is dancing in God's glory reunited with her mother, Helen, and father, Bill.

Her family will receive visitors and celebrate her life at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – West Columbia Chapel, 820 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170.
