I was so sad to learn of Mr. Vanderpool's passing. He and mother taught together for many years. She held both Mr. Vanderpool and his wife Gladys in the highest esteem.

There aren't enough words to express my thanks for all the love Jim, Gladys, and Vicki have shown my family. They have treated Joe and me like their own children and Alexandra and Joseph like their grandchildren. Jim's passing was truly a celebration of a life well lived. He was a caring husband, father, and friend to so many. I have countless wonderful memories, but my dining room table will feel incomplete without Jimmy Ray. My heart pours out to Gladys and Vicki. I love you both.

Vicki so sorry for your loss but I wanted to let you know I have so many good memories being at your house running up and down the steps talking to your mom and dad . Us listening to the Osmond Brothers Marie and Donnie on the stereo upstairs and Loretta Lynn. Let me know if there's anything I can help you with.❤️

Mr. Vanderpool was my 6th grade teacher at Schenck School many years ago. He was also the first male teacher I had ever had and at first frightened the life out of me. Long story short...he was one of the best, most influential teachers I ever had. I have often talked about him over the years. He was truly a great educator and wonderful role model. I am honored to have known him. Sorry to hear of his passing. May God be with you in this saddened time.

Sincerely,

Stacey Black-Richardson

He was my first principal when we moved to Ohio at Laura Farrell. I still have a pic of me and him. He was the best principal I have had. My condolences to his wife and family
