LEXINGTON – A memorial service for Jimmy Edward Lewis, 68, will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
Mr. Lewis was born December 29, 1942 in Columbia and passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. He was a son of the late Grady W. and Juanita Hook Lewis. Mr. Lewis was a retired brick mason and tile setter. He liked to do things his own way.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his son, Jimmy E. “Jay” Lewis; sisters, Joann Howard, Marilyn Hulon and Judy Geddings and brother, Billy Ray Lewis. He was predeceased by his brother, W.A. Lewis.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Elton and the third shift nurses at Lexington Medical Center ICU.
