John Ellisor

Mr. John Charles Ellisor, 51, of West Columbia, passed away November 12, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of Ronald and Phyllis Ellisor. Mr. Ellisor was a diehard South Carolina Gamecock fan and enjoyed going to Williams Brice Stadium to watch them play. He also loved the game of baseball and spent countless hours playing and coaching.
Survivors include his loving wife, Michelle; daughter, Shelby; father, Ronald Ellisor; brothers, Danny Ellisor (Kim), Troy Ellisor (Linda). Mr. Ellisor was a devoted uncle to BreAnna Wingard, Carlie Crocker, Christopher, Laney and Kobie Ellisor and great uncle to LoraLei Crocker and Teagen Ellisor. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Ellisor; maternal grandparents, John and Carrie Spurlock and paternal grandparents, Charles Ellisor and Pauline Carson.
The family will receive friends at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel, on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Springdale Baptist Church in West Columbia, SC on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

I had several classes together with him and never one second of those classes were ever boring. He was a wonderful person. He would sometimes carry my books to class. He will be greatly missed. God Bless R. I. P. ❤️

If I remember correctly it was 1988 or 1989. We played tournament In Lexington. Johnny played 3rd base and had the tournament of his life. We won the tournament and it’s a memory I’ll never forget! RIP my friend
