Big John , Rowdy boy as he was called by the DHEC family staff.  

I was my pleasure to know and work with John during his second life career. 

He was a fine man always will to help others.  He spoke often and demonstrated his dedication to his family and his faith.

My sincere condolences to the Jesse family.  The world has lost a true gentleman who will be sorely missed. 🙏🏻

I am heartbroken to hear of John’s passing. I worked closely with him at DHEC and learned so much from him. He possessed that hearty Midwest spirit and drive. His patience and  knowledge provided a key element to our work in the Nuclear Emergency Response Program.
    My prayers are for God to continue to hold Alice and his family in his loving arms to carry them through this difficult time.

We well remember working with John on so many Nuclear Emergency Response and planning issues over the years during his time and tenure at SCDHEC. 
He possessed great integrity and application to his craft and yet a dry humor and singular wit!  John was  deeply dedicated to his area of special expertise and to the ultimate welfare of the people of South Carolina! I was privileged to know and work with John over many years!

I offer my deepest sympathy and condolences to his family and all his friends and acquaintances!

May God grant him eternal rest and may perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace!
