LEESVILLE – Robert Michael Steele, 72, was born September 17, 1947 in Columbia, SC and walked through the gates of heaven on Friday, September 20, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Horace K. Steele and Jeanette Johnson Steele.
Mr. Steele is survived by his wife, Jeanean J. Steele; sons, Robert M. Steele Jr., Jonathan Steele (Priscilla), and Ronald K. Steele (Anna); beloved granddaughters, Hailey, Sharon, Caroline and Ella Catherine Steele; and sister, Cheryl Ayer (David). He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents, several cousins and also his first wife, Sharon, in 1982.
This man exemplified a true Christian life. Humor, truthfulness, love, duty, but most of all his love for his savior and to God the Father.
