CAYCE – A memorial service for Roger W. Johnson, 75, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2017 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with Rev. Charlie Stroud officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the chapel. Inurnment will be in Southland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a place of one’s choice.
Mr. Johnson was born June 25, 1941 in Michigan and passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017. Mr. Johnson was a welder and a school bus monitor for Lexington County District #2. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Columbia.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Betty Sue Hall Johnson; children, Lorrie (Dale) DeWitt, Ronald (Kristi) Johnson, Wanda (Wayne) Miller; other children, Jessie Hall, Brenda (Danny) Medders, Mary McGee and Tina Niver, as well as a total of 34 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Jessie Hall and daughter, Mary McGee.
