Adelita "Adela" Garcia

Adelita (Sisneros) Garcia, 70, of Prairie Hill, Texas, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022 at her residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, October 14, 2022 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors with Pastor Irie Cuevas officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 13th at the funeral home.

Mrs. Garcia was born on May 22, 1952 in Rosebud, Texas to Manuel Padilla Sisneros and Lusita (Veracruz) Sisneros. She was the oldest of 4 children. As a child Adela moved to Waco where she lived, got married and had 4 children. She graduated from Cosmetology school and got a job as a beautician. She eventually worked her way to owning her own salon. Adela’s Beauty Salon which she ran for a number of years. Mrs. Garcia decided to change careers to follow her passion of looking after children. Adela had a great love for her children, the outdoors and fishing. She loved getting together with her family, having barbeques and cookouts. Adela also loved reading, watching her cooking channels and watching Joyce Myers.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Manuel and Lusita.

Survivors include her long-time love and companion of 24 years; Faustino Villalon-Gomez, along with four children from a previous marriage; Johnny Arispe and his wife, Bebe of Robinson, Michael Arispe and his wife, Jennifer of Robinson, Manuel Arispe and his wife, Debbie of Bruceville Eddy and Carol Arispe and her fiancé, Nathon Woods of Waco, sisters; Gloria Martinez of Waco, Marie Garcia of Waco and Sylvia Garcia of Waco, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Pallbearers include: Johnny Arispe, Michael Arispe, Manuel Arispe, Joe Vic Martinez, Nathon Woods and Omar Palacios.
