Dawn Marie Johnson

Dawn Marie Johnson, 52, of Waco, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at her residence. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 23, 2018 in Moody Cemetery with Father Joe Geleney officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Rosary being recited at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 22nd at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Johnson was born on January 31, 1966 in Indianapolis, Indiana to William H. and Peggy Ann (McGregor) Cox. She married Mike Johnson on November 28, 1988 in Indianapolis, Indiana and they celebrated over 29 wonderful years together. Mrs. Johnson loved working crossword puzzles and computer games but her true love was her family. She had a big heart and loved helping people and was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Waco. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Jackie Johnson and son, Michael Johnson, Jr.

Survivors include her husband; Mike Johnson, Sr. of Gholson, daughter; Samantha Johnson and her fiancé Jimmy Maddox of Gholson, son, Jessie James Johnson of Gholson, brother; Johnny Cox of Kentucky, grandchildren; Kaeo and Emily Maddox, aunt; Mary Cox and her husband, Bob and several nephews, cousins and dear friends.
