

Euretta Marie (Ware) Wallis, age 99, went home to be with her Lord and Redeemer on December 9, 2015. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 13, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Bosqueville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 PM, Saturday, December 12, at the funeral home.
Euretta was born July 6, 1916 to Robert Lee and Unettie Pearl (Hardin) Ware in Holt, Texas. She graduated from Richland Springs High School and attended Tarleton State College in Stephenville where she met her husband, Homer Eldred Wallis. She taught school for a short period in Stephenville, Texas and then married on August 5, 1941. She and Homer raised 6 children. They moved to Waco from Grand Prairie in 1950 where she worked alongside her husband as he started a church (Waco Bible Baptist) and pastored several other churches (Kendrick Lane and Bosqueville Baptist) around Waco. In the early years of her marriage she was a substitute teacher, WMU president, and GAA leader. After her youngest child started middle school, she became a Mary Kay beauty consultant. She was personally trained by Mary Kay herself and reached the position of Senior Director. In all she sold Mary Kay for over 40 years. On her 90th birthday, she received an honorary certificate from Mary Kay Cooperate Office that she was the oldest consultant still working for the company.
Euretta was a longtime member of Parkview Baptist Church joining with her husband after he retired from the ministry. She loved gardening, sewing, and cooking. She loved birds, animals, and all of nature, but most of all she loved God, people and family. She was predeceased by her husband, and one son, Eldred Lee. She was also predeceased by 5 brothers and one sister. She leaves behind one brother, Eugene Ware of Mansfield; one son, Charles Wallis of College Station; four daughters, Kathryn Boy, and Shirley Wallis of Waco; Margaret Mallory and her husband Charles of Gahanna, Ohio; and Eunetta Leal and her husband Nabor of Waco; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great, grandchildren. Also during her 65 years of living in Waco she met many people who she loved and cherished as her own family.
Memorials can be made to Parkview Christian Academy.
