Frances D. Ramos

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 21, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00p.m., Wednesday, April 20, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors with a Rosary at 7:00p.m.

Frances was born March 9, 1928 in Satin, Texas to Delphina (Constancio) and Sylvester DelaCruz. She was raised in Marlin, Texas and helped with the family restaurant there. On September 21, 1947 she married the love of her life, Proseso Z, Ramos. Frances retired from Marathon Battery after working there for 20 years. She was a longtime member of St. Francis Catholic Church where she participated in Our Lady of Guadalupe Society.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 51 years, and several siblings. She is also preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Sammie Jo Weaver and Chance Ramos.

Survivors include her daughter, Ofelia Weaver and husband Alfred David Weaver; son, Renaldo Ramos; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Lucy Cantu and several nieces and nephews.
