Jenaro Henry Deleza Sedillo

September 20, 1938 – December 31, 2010

Jenaro D. “Henry” Sedillo, 72, passed away Friday, December 31, 2010 with his family by his side. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00 a.m., Monday, January 3, 2011 at Sacred Heart Church, 2621 Bagby Avenue, with Rev. Lawrence Soler, Celebrant. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Henry was born September 20, 1938 in Rosebud, Texas, one of nine children born to Gorgonio and Filomena (Deleza) Sedillo. He had a great passion for his job and enjoyed a successful, life long career as a truck driver. Henry was a loving, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Henry touched the lives of many people with his smile, and sense of humor. He will be dearly missed and his memory will live on in those who loved him.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jenaro “Baby” Sedillo Jr., brother, John Sedillo; sister, Alejandra Sisneroz; and grandson, David Lopez.

Henry will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 36 years, Gloria Sedillo; beloved sons, Maxie, Danny, Mike, and Mario Sedillo, Jesse Martinez, and Freddy Perez; beloved daughters, Gloria Estrada, Vickie Sedillo, Stella Sustaita, Laura Alejandro, Jessica Lopez, Henrietta Salazar and Frances Flores; devoted brothers, Ted, Rudy, and George Sedillo Jr.; loving sisters, Victoria Vasquez, Gloria Montez, and Lupe Martinez; thirty seven treasured grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; along with countless other family and friends whom were blessed to have known him.

Pallbearers will be Maxie, Danny, Mike, and Mario Sedillo, Jesse Martinez and Tommy Sisneroz. Honorary pallbearer is his deceased son, Jenaro “Baby” Sedillo Jr.
