

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., December 24, at St. Paul Lutheran’s Church in Bellmead. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
A visitation will be held Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., December 23, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors.
Jerry was born November 28, 1942 in Lake, Mississippi to William Lee and Eva Luke. He graduated from Sebastopol High School in Mississippi then later moved to Texas. He and his wife were the owners of G.I. Lewis Heating and Air. His family was the most important thing in his life and he was willing to give the shirt off his back for someone in need. Hunting and fishing were some of the things he enjoyed doing. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church for over 27years and served as an usher for many years. Jerry loved chicken and boiled peanuts. He was always a helper, assisting with anything around the house.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Lee and Eva Luke and daughter, Connie Kimmons.
Survivors include the love of his life, wife and best friend, Betty Gibbs; children, Heather Gibbs and partner Trish Lyon, Robin Hill and Husband James, Melissa Franklin, Scott Gibbs, Jay Gibbs and wife Heather, Larry Raborn and wife Cindy; sisters, Betty Hammond and husband Bob, Nancy Reeves and husband Ricky, Martha Bigham and husband Johnny; sister –in-law, Peggy Gibbs; and brother, Steve Gibbs. He is also survived by two special nieces, Tammy Maseda and Cathy Jackson and husband Philip and daughter, Tiffany Kitch; grandchildren, Courtney Ball, Lindsey Wright and husband Chris, Haley Gibbs, Madison Gardner, Keeley Gardner, Chase Gibbs, Caitlin Gibbs, Josh Gibbs, Brittany Beatty and husband Avery, Matthew Hill, Will Franklin and wife Kassie, Kevin Lessman, Michael Farmer and wife Erica; great grandchildren, Maci McMillan, Marli Ball, Cooper Wright, Carli Wright, AJ Beatty and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends and coworkers Cindy, Luke and Ricky .
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Will Franklin, Kevin Lessman, Chase Gibbs, Michael Farmer, John Kitch and Larry Raborn.
